The Client

Stage Engage are a leading events AV company with sites in London and Exeter. As technical experts with a vast range of services and equipment at their disposal, they work on events of all shapes and sizes from full-scale corporate conferences to small wedding parties. The volume and content of their testimonials is a tribute to the quality of the service they provide.

The Challenge

Despite being an industry leader in both technical capability and client service, Stage Engage did not have the online presence of their competitors. Although appearing Google's search results for key search terms on lower pages, their website was not receiving the volume of high-quality traffic needed to grow the business. In addition, with the launch of a new Express Hire website, they needed to quickly attract new users to their DIY audio and visual equipment hire packages.

The Strategy

For the main website, we focused on implementing a structure for their different service pages which allowed us to optimise for specific search terms being used by potential clients. These search terms were identified in our keyword research, a process which takes data directly from Google and analyses top online competitors. To drive traffic to the new website immediately we simultaneously ran an Adwords campaign that targeted people within the business' catchment areas who were searching on Google to hire AV equipment.
Within three months, the website was up onto page one of Google for a range of highly competitive key search terms. This put Stage Engage up there with their top competitors. We also increased their online visibility for the new London base, aimed attracting more corporate clients. For the Express Hire website, the Adwords campaign attracted over 1,000 new users to the website in the first few months, all of whom were using very specific search terms relevant to the equipment packages on offer. Our focus now is on increasing the website's overall ranking and optimising for additional services.
